MORETON AND SAUGHALL MASSIE Councillor, Chris Blakeley has called for Wirral Council to re-open Leasowe Common to vehicular traffic...........

Wirral residents in some parts of Oxton, Prenton, Woodchurch, Upton, and most of Moreton will all get a new paper and packaging recycling collection starting from November 6.................

Wirral's Planning Committee has cut back the hours at a proposed cafe bar at 17 Upton Road, Moreton.

In order to carry out SEWER REPLACEMENT WORKS at the above location it will be necessary to make the temporary road closure as detailed below: Date of Closures:- 9.30am Monday 18th September 2006 until 8pm Sunday 15th October 2006.............

A new campaign has been launched to fight the 'garden grab' planned by the Government. The plans would see more 'high density' development (such as flats) taking place of gardens..........

You will find here the list of roads in the Moreton/Saughall Massie area and dates when they will be scheduled to receive brown bins for garden waste. The deliveries are all on schedule at present.......

Thousands of householders across Wirral are thought to be missing out on a grant from the Government for home insulation and heating improvements, warned the Eaga Partnership today.

I am delighted that this Labour Government has decided to abandon its proposals to abolish police force mergers, but its time for Labour Ministers to drop the plans drawn up by John Prescott - for cuts to the local fire service and 999 control rooms.........

On reading the Liverpool Echo, I was a bit worried to read that the Conservatives had voted against reducing or stopping Housing Benefit for people who are anti social in their neighbourhoods.

11/7/2006 -  A disgraceful waste of water 
Gallons of water have been pouring down Town Meadow Lane in Moreton after United Utilities failed to respond to a gushing leak for over 9 hours. Moreton’s Conservative Councillors have condemned the lack of response and complained about a "disgraceful waste of water"........

Councillor, Chris Blakeley, who is also the Chairman of Wirral’s Social Care, Health and Inclusion Overview and Scrutiny Committee has condemned the Birkenhead and Wallasey Primary Care Trust over its handling of the consultation process around the proposal to bring together the four Moreton GP’s practices onto one site in pasture Road to be known as the Moreton Health Park...........

Recently as part of the Saughall Massie bypass scheme a CCTV camera has been installed on Saughall Massie Road, close to its junction with the old bridge and near to many residential properties...............
