Hello, my name is Brian Kenny and I am the Labour Councillor for Birkenhead and Tranmere.
Welcome to my website. I hope you find it informative. I am married with two children and have lived in the Wirral all my life. I have been a full-time Trade Unionist since 1971, with the Communication Workers Union. I have been a member of the Labour Party since 1974. I was very proud to be elected to represent Birkenhead & Tranmere in May 2006, until 2010.

This is me, on the right, with the two other Labour Councillors in Birkenhead & Tranmere, Jean Stapleton and Phil Davies. We hold regular weekly surgeries at locations across the Ward, helping residents with local problems and enabling them to have a voice as part of the decision making process at Council meetings.
I currently sit on three main Council Committees:-
- Housing & Community Safety
- Community & Customer Engagement
- Planning (Vice Chair)
I represent the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral on the Birkenhead Park Advisory Committee, the Birkenhead Town Centre Consultative Group, the Telecommunications Working Party, the Wirral Multicultural Organisation, the Charing Cross Play, Youth and Community Centre, the Neighbourhood Renewal Policy Group, the Sure Start Strategic Partnership Board and the Lauries Community Centre Board.
I am a LEA appointed Governor for St. Werburghs Primary School, and I am Chair of Governors at Mersey Park Primary School.
I attend meetings of the Paterson/Craven Street Resident's Association.
I am a member of:
- The Family Matters Steering Group.
- The Birkenhead and Tranmere and Rock Ferry Area Forum.
- Tranmere Together, which is a local organisation responsible for improving the way public services are delivered to the people of Rock Ferry and Tranmere.
