Your Liberal Democrat Councillor in Handside
My key concern for the ward is to protect the unique character that distinguishes it from other towns.
Other main areas of interest are the environment, I am a member of the RSPB and Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust, and so concerned about saving our natural resources and reducing human impact on our climate.
Recycling is a major issue for many Handside residents and many of you will know that Liberal Democrats have organised regular plastics collections. Our next collection date is Saturday 22nd April between 1000 and 1200 from the Free Church car park in Church Road.
I joined the United Nations Association this year to support one of the very few sane voices in international affairs, and the principal co-ordinator of help in the event of disasters.
Bid launched to create a Heritage Centre
Welwyn Garden City is one of the most important places in the world when it comes to town planning. Yet there is absolutely nothing to indicate the town's key role in town planning. We need a Heritage Centre to celebrate just how special Welwyn Garden City is.

Bridge Road Planning Application - Withdrawn
The 200+ letters of objection seem to have caused second thoughts by Linden Homes; the application was withdrawn on the morning of the meeting.
