My name is Roger Trigg and I was born 25th July 1945 in the beautiful town of Matlock in Derbyshire where my mother was evacuated during the second world war.
I have lived in Oaklands Welwyn since 1975 with my wife Carole and four wonderful children Adam, Heidi, Kerry and Rhianna.
I have five grandchildren Eloise,Nathan,Ollie,Anya and Maya.
All of these were born at the QE 11 hospital in Welwyn Garden City
I was a parish councillor for Oaklands ward Welwyn from 1987 to 1995 and was chairman of the planning committee.
I was elected for the Panshanger ward of the Welwyn Hatfield Council in May 1999 and served on various committees until I became Vice Chairman of the Council in May 2002 followed by a year as The Chairman of the Council from May 2003 to June 2004.
I served on the following outside bodies on behalf of the Council including The Citizen's Advice Bureau and Digswell Arts Trust.
I was Vice- Chaiman of St. John's JMI School Governing Body from 1998 to 2006.
