October BLOG

30/10/2007

Well after five months of hard work it has finally struck. At University we use to call it Fresher’s Flu, the man in the house might call it Man Flu but I think for this we shall call it Councillor Flu! The symptoms are the same as Flu but the causes are due to a heavy work load, manic social life and holding down a job....and I wouldn't change it for the World.

Breaks Manor Youth Centre

At the Management Committee meeting of the Break Manor Youth Centre I nominated the for the election of the new Chairperson, feeling guilty about giving someone this responsibility whilst they are pregnant, I volunteered my services for the Vice-Chair Role. So after approval by the Committee I am now the Vice-Chair of the Breaks Manor Youth Centre. This new role will help me to carry out further activities and to continue to support the current ones, including a monthly Band Night and of course the Pantomime.

What happened to August and September and at the time of writing this most of October??? I was hoping with this blog to speak my mind on events in WHBC but it's getting the time to do so.

Splashland

I attended the meeting when the Social Overview and Scrutiny Comtee recommended to Cabinet to look into having a wet and dry play area on the site of the Old Swimming Pool and to undertake a feasibility study. I can't wait to see the plans and for the idea to move forward. If it does go ahead it will be the biggest wet area play area in the region and will put Stanborough Lakes on the map!

Meet you Councillor

Once a month you can come and meet me face to face at the Jim Macdonald Centre off High View at Hill top. If you have a problem or any ideas please come and see me and we shall see what we can do!

Hopefully bbs,

Paul
