All you ever wanted to know....

Born on the 13th October 1986 in Ipswich Suffolk, I moved around the World (Britain and Germany) as my parents were in the RAF. We eventually settled in Lyneham, Wiltshire but after my parent's divorce when I was 7 my Mum and Brother moved to Calne Wiltshire and it was here that I gained my interest in Politics at a very early age.

I joined the Calne Young People's Town Council at the young age of 11 and was the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Treasurer over the time I took part. I attended various Town Council meetings and outside bodies including the Calne Crime Prevention Panel and Civic Society, so naturally my interests lie in Law and Order and making sure Towns are kept clean and tidy and provide a lovely environment to live in. My biggest achievement in the YPTC was to run and monthly Cinema Society showing two films each month from a 33mm projector onto a 14' by 10' 5 screen, which was paid for by the YPTC, Town Council, District Council and my School, the John Bentley School.

Whilst attending the University of Westminster to read History and Politics I decided, on a recommendation from a friend, to move to Hatfield. After a dodgy start I moved to South Hatfield and decided that I would fulfil my childhood dream and stand for the Borough Council, after pounding the streets and meeting loads of residents I won. Election night was the most nerve racking night of my life winning by TWO VOTES, and having to go through two recounts. Whoever said politics was dull was wrong!

I am passionate about what I do with the Council and the community, and I want to unleash the potential that I see all around me in Hatfield. When I have time for a hobby I like to "Walk the Boards" and have been involved in pantomimes since the age of 8 and would like to carry this on in Hatfield.
