About Me

Though I was born and educated in North London I have lived with my wife and two children in Hertfordshire for 40 years and in Brookmans Park and Little Heath Ward for 35 years.

A desire to make sure that the community has a powerful voice in the way their lives are affected by all types of authority has led me over the years to devote much of my time representing their views in various arenas.

I served on and was chairman of the village hall committee in Newgate Street Village for six years, on the Hatfield Parish which later became Town Council for nine years and have been a Councillor on the District Council for fifteen years.  I am a founder and trustee on the Wellfield Trust, a Hatfield charity devoted to the relief of poverty in Hatfield, I have found this to be the most satisfying and rewarding part of my public life.

When time permits I enjoy watching all sports and reading, preferably Military and Political biography, I also like to spend time in the garden.

I do not enjoy shopping or gardening.
