Consultation has started on the Lightwoods Road parking scheme, but, details in the consultation documents are not what residents agreed at the meeting.

Abbey Ward Councillors to meet highways officers over delay in dealing with the Kings Head subway after Birmingham drag their feet.

Sounds like another sham to me as we get mixed messages from Birmingham about when the consultation is happening, or has it already happened and who is or has been consulted

An appeal has been launched against the Council's refusal to allow what was determined to be an overscale development at 9 Woodbourne Road. I'm beginning to wonder who makes the planning decisions in Sandwell, the Council or the Planning Inspectorate?

This is the gulley behind 502 to 526 Bearwood Road. Residents in Wattis Road have to suffer a festering mass of rubbish at the end of their gardens

23/2/2006 -  ALDI OPENS WITH FANFARE 
People queued at the door, tape was cut and children sang songs for the opening.

The first item sold was a cement mixer

The new extension at Thimblemill Library will be opened by the Mayor at 1 o' clock on Thursday 16th February

Details of Blue Chip's planning appeal to convert the Barleycorn into a casino have now appeared on the Planning Inspectorate's web site

13/2/2006 -  BLUE CHIP APPEAL AGAIN 
Blue Chip's bid to convert the Barleycorn into a casio has surfaced again with them appearing to have slipped in a new last minute appeal against the refusal of planning permission.

Bearwood residents support a new scheme for Lightwoods Road, Anderson Road, Herbert Road and Sherwood Road. The proposed scheme would allow for time limited parking for non-residents during daytime hours.

9/2/2006 -  ALDI OPENS 23rd FEBRUARY 
The New Aldi store on Bearwood Road will open at 9.00 on 23rd February.

31/1/2006 -  DATE FOR ALDI OPENING NEARS 
The new ALDI supermarket in Bearwood is set for a February opening date.

After five months of waiting for water and electric conections, the Bearwood Superloo is nearly ready to be opened.

A Warley Woods oak tree overhanging Lightwoods Hill has been hit by a taller than usual bus.
The bus company says it was the tree's fault.

Birmngham City Council are now not answering communications over the state of Lightwoods Park.
Steve Eling calls for the park to be handed over to Sandwell.
