In May, at the start of the new municipal year, my responsibilities have changed and I am now been appointed to the West Midlands Police Authority. This position I see as a natural progression from the Community Safety role I held previously and enables me to maintain my links in Sandwell and carry on building on the major successes that have been achieved in the borough.
I have also been appointed to the Board of Sandwell Homes, this is the arms length management organisation (ALMO) that manages Sandwells Social Housing.
My links with Smethwick have also been strengthened as I am now Chair of Smethwick Town committee. This incorporates the Wards of Bearwood, Saint Pauls, Soho Victoria and of course Smethwick.
