I have lived in Salford all my life. In 1958, I moved from Lower Broughton to Little Hulton. I taught in Little Hulton schools for 34 years, taking early retirement, as headteacher of Our Lady and the Lancashire Martyrs RCPS (Little Hulton) in 2004.
My husband, Brendan, was a teacher for 34 years at St. Georges High School in Walkden. We have one son (Brendan, would you believe!)
Having had a successful and happy career, living and working in Salford, I felt that I would like the opportunity to contribute further to supporting Salford people and in particular the community in Little Hulton.
I thoroughly enjoy my work as a councillor and so was delighted to have been re-elected in May, 2008. I am now Executive Support Member for Housing and I am looking forward to the challenge!
