Museum to celebrate 50 years of Salford music
Fifty years of Salford's musical past is to be celebrated at a new exhibition where previously unseen items will be on show - including a guitar used by New Order's Peter Hook and artwork from the Ting Tings 2007 tour.

The Leaders from the three respective parties are given a weekly slot in the Advertiser on an alternating basis. This is my column for this week. Previous columns are contained within the section entitled reports.

I was delighted to be appointed onto the new Greater Manchester Commission for Economic Development, Employment & Skills.

30/7/2008 -  CABINET WORKPLAN 2008-2009 
This year's Cabinet WorkPlan varies from other years in being based on the LAA for Salford 2008-11. This is the first time that we have been able to feel that the LAA truly reflects the Council priorities.

The launch event which I attended was a celebration of the completion of the first major Green Streets in Salford scheme and aims to further the development of partnership working in Salford.

I recently spoke at the abovementioned conference which showcased the best community-led environmental initiatives and partnership projects in Salford and across the North West.

Greater Manchester City Region is one of seven sub-regions in England that will seal their commitment to boost economic prosperity, in recognition that they can each achieve more than the sum of their parts – in the first set of Multi-Area Agreements (MAAs)
