Over 300 entries from 15 schools were submitted. Rebecca is a pupil at St Georges High School in Walkden. Rebecca, incidentally, also designed the runner up logo. She submitted six designs in total.

Chairman of the station, councillor Jim King said: "We wanted our new logo to be designed by members of the community, to demonstrate that we are a community-based radio station. We also felt by doing it this way, we’d get a number of original designs, which has indeed proved to be the case."

The winning design features the map of Salford on a smiling face wearing a pair of headphones.

Rebecca said: "Once I started the first, I just kept having new ideas, so I carried on."
