Thank you for having a peek at my website.
I live in and represent my 'home Ward' of Broughton, part of the old City of Salford. I live in the famous and historic 'Cliff' conservation area of the City.
I have been privileged to represent the communities of Broughton for many years now and I'd like to say a special 'thank you' for the support of all my constituents.
I have served on several bodies and community organisations over the years, including a number of school governing bodies, Salford College Governing Body, Broughton Trust, Calderwood Community Committee, Court of Salford University and was involved at the outset of the Broughton Credit Union.
Currently I serve on East Salford Community Committee, St Thomas of Canterbury School Governing Body and I am Executive Support for Culture and Sport. I chair Salford City Radio Board and Salford's Fairtrade Committee.
In 2003 I founded Salford's very successful Fair-trade movement in the city. Since then we have succeeded in being accredited a Fairtrade City in 2005. I do hope you support fair-trade by buying fair trade goods. If you want to join us do get in touch.
I'm leading the drive to 'put Salford on Air'. No, this is not the BBC. It's Salford's own independent Salford City radio station. It will be as open access as we can make it. We are independent and our mission is to ensure that the voices, wishes, stories, activities, worries, joys and successes of Salfordians are covered to the best of our abilities. We'll beat the BBC to it by hopefully going on air later this year. Keep an eye out.
