Middlesbrough is one of  twenty one authorities participating in the ‘Councillor.info’ project which has been developed by the Local Government Association and technical partners Poptel Technology Ltd.

Websites are being launched for all Middlesbrough Councillors to improve the access and service they offer to their constituents. Following the Election on 3rd May, 2007, Middlesbrough now has 11 new Councillors.  The new Councillors are listed below however, their web sites aren't yet active.  The new Councillor web sites will be available shortly.

Middlesbrough Council has 48 Councillors representing 23 Wards.

BEST EVER GCSE RESULTS FOR MIDDLESBROUGH
Results for Middlesbrough’s young people in their GCSE results have continued to improve according to figures released today (10/01/08). The final figures for exams taken in 2007 show that almost 54 per cent of young people taking the exams in Middlesbrough achieved five or more A* to C grades, continuing the upward trend shown in the previous year’s figures.
