I work closely with Councillor Charles Swift  my colleague in North Ward.

Councillor Swift, was a British Rail Engine Drive for 48 years and has been a Member of Peterborough City Council since 1954, giving over 50 years service to the people of Peterborough.  Indeed 20 of these were as Leader of the Council.  He was Mayor of Peterborough between 1961/62 and was made a Freeman of the City on 14th May 1984.

He received an OBE in the 1987 New Years Honours List and was also recognised in this year by the Salvation Army who made him an Honorary Auxillary Officer of their organisation for his contribution to society.

Councillor Swift and myself are always available to offer advice and assistance to the residents of North Ward.
