Welcome to my website

Thank you for taking the time to visit my web page which I hope you will find of use and interest.  Through this web page I intend to tell you a bit more about myself as well as keep you informed of events happening in and around the Dogsthorpe area. Under the My Politics link below you will find some links to other websites which you may find of use.

So a few facts about myself:-

I currently represent the Dogsthorpe Ward as a Liberal Councillor, in the Minority Parties Group.

I first became a Councillor in 1986 and until 1994 represented the Ravensthorpe Ward.  I then became involved with the Dogsthorpe Ward through Councillor Adrian Miners and went onto win the Dogsthorpe seat for the Liberals in May 2000.

I am a Council representative for Dogsthorpe Community Association and the Landfill Liaison Committee.  Away from my commitments as Ward Councillor to the people of Dogsthorpe, I worked for the Railways until 1996 but am now based at a local company who are supportive of my work as a Councillor.

I am also a Member of the Citizens Advice Bureau, the Campaign for Real Ale and The Liberal Party and hold the post of Branch Secretary and Divisional Chairman of the Transport Salaried Staff Association.

If you would like to contact me regarding a Council or Ward issue, please feel free to email me or attend one of the Dogsthorpe Surgeries, held by myself or fellow Ward Councillor, Adrian Miners on a weekly basis - we will do our best to assist you.  The local Police Community Support Officers attend the surgery every three weeks.  The Dogsthorpe Ward Councillors  have a longstanding reputation for dealing with local problems and issues and keeping people informed through our FOCUS Newsletter and we intend to continue this work for the people of Dogsthorpe.
