Welcome to my website

I am very pleased to welcome you to my website. This site will tell you a little about me, Park End ward and the work of Middlesbrough Council. I hope that you enjoy your visit and find it useful.

I have resided in Park End with my wife and family for over 50 years and have been the Labour Party Councillor for Park End ward since 1999. On the Counil I am Vice Chair of the Licensing Committee and of the Older Persons Partnership. I sit on the Community Safety and Leisure Scrutiny Panel, the Safer and Stronger Communities Fund and represent the Council on the Cleveland Fire Authority, the Safer Middlesbrough Partnership and Erimus Housing.

Additionally, I am the Chair of Governors at Park End Primary School, a Governor at St Pius Primary and a member of Tennis World and Langridge Crescent management committee. I am President of the Middlesbrough branch of the Royal British Legion.

BEST EVER GCSE RESULTS FOR MIDDLESBROUGH
Results for Middlesbrough’s young people in their GCSE results have continued to improve according to figures released today (10/01/08). The final figures for exams taken in 2007 show that almost 54 per cent of young people taking the exams in Middlesbrough achieved five or more A* to C grades, continuing the upward trend shown in the previous year’s figures.
