The Middlesbrough Learning Partnership has brought local learning organisations/establishments together to provide a broader range of information accessible in one venue.

Middlesbrough Learning Shop for:

  • Careers Information Advice and Guidance
  • Career Health Checks – (helps to determine how your personality links to particular jobs)
  • Programmes of learning
  • Course information
  • ‘New’ courses
  • Student support (grants, funding etc)
  • Job search skills
  • Skills for life (literacy and numeracy) assessments
  • A signposting service to other information/advice organisations.

  • Neighbourhood Learning in Local Communities

Neighbourhood Learning in Local Communities

The Neighbourhood Learning in Local Communities team are based in the Get IT Centre/Middlesbrough Learning Shop (on Albert Road opposite Town Hall) and provide drop-in sessions in several different venues across Middlesbrough, offering careers and course information, advice and guidance to local residents.

The team aim to meet individual’s needs through:

  • discussions and initial assessment
  • offering continuous support in search for employment or learning
  • signpost people to other relevant agencies
