Welcome
to the website of Councillor Michael Carr.
I
was elected to represent the new Ladgate ward in May 2003 and again
in May 2007. Ladgate comprises Easterside, Marton Manor and Tollesby
Hall.
Together with my colleague, Cllr David Budd, we work hard for the people of the ward through regular ward surgeries, the Ladgate Community Council and the Easterside Partnership.
Currently,
I am a member of the council's Executive, responsible for the
Children, Families and Learning department.
I
chair the board of Erimus Housing, the housing association which is
responsible for Middlesbrough's former council housing stock, and I'm
a board member of the Fabrick Housing Group of which Erimus is a
part.
My
other responsibilities include appointment as a governor of
Easterside Primary School, Tollesby School and Unity City Academy.
