Councillor Kevin Morby

About Kevin Morby

For those people who know nothing about Kevin Morby, here are a few facts.
As an Independent Councillor I have no party / group to forward you to, and the title Independent also makes me independent of all other Independent Councillor's.
Personally I believe in a system based on a political and economic theory advocating state ownership of the means of production and distribution. In a nutshell I am a SOCIALIST.
I was once an active member of the Labour Party, however politics have changed, and my views on politics certainly have.
Born and still living on Park End, married with 3 children all over the age of 18yrs.
2 grandchildren the latest edition as recent as a month ago.
Schools attended were Ladgate Primary and Bertram Ramsey.
I joined the Royal Navy in 1973 and served for 6 very happy years travelling the world. I Returned home but stayed at sea for another 3 years under the Merchant flag before finally calling it a day and joining the Cleveland Fire Service in 1982 where I still work today at Middlesbrough Fire Station.
Here I first became interested in politics and held several union positions at the station's I served in. During the 1980's I was also a part time youth community leader at the old Joe Walton's youth centre.
My hobbies, are anything to do with music / sport's and in particular Glasgow Celtic Football Club who have had my heart from a 9yr old boy. I still travel to games and have made many many friends around the world travelling to European matches, long may it continue.
