Middlesbrough Council, Linthorpe Ward
Councillor Jackie Elder

Police,Crime and neighbourhood Offences.

It would appear that Cleveland Police Force is here to stay unadulterated.Thank goodness. Well done to all who joined in the anti - merger campaign.

If you are worried about crime issues in your area or see anything suspicious, then please inform our local beat Officers, Paul McNulty and Steve Rees  who can be contacted on 326326 and ask for Local beats at Grove Hill.

We now have our Street Wardens back too. Look out for them and USE THEM to report local issues from bag slashing to refuse dumping, menacing gatherings of inebriates and other anti- social activities to general suspicious goings on.They are here to help us make Linthorpe Ward safe!

A  friendly word of warning to all car parkers in our area. Hoodies are operating here as elsewhere in The Town, alas. Be vigilant with your possessions. PLEASE DO NOT leave anything on display in your cars to attract them. This applies particularly to students up in the Roman/ Orchard/ Westwood and Harrow Rd areas. As we try to help you, please also help us by RESPECTING OUR CONSERVATION AREA in return. There are ample litter bins throughout The Roman Rd. area.If you must eat whilst walking back and forth, please hold onto your litter until the next available bin , instead of discarding it in residents gardens!Litter fines are heavy - £2000  on the spot ticket offences and Neighbourhood Cleansing Officers are to be stepped up to make sure our streets are clean.
