There are two Schools in the Ward both Primary, Acklam Whin and St Clare's with a record of high achievement over the 30 years plus they have served the community.

Acklam Whin has Mr Lees as Headteacher, with Deputy Head Gwyneth Chapman. The School roll is presently 387 [plus nursery]. The school motto is " Excellence and Enjoyment."
St Clare's Headteacher is Mrs S. Fall, the School roll is presently 238 Pupils. The School motto is " Walk in the Light."
The present School is due for replacement in the next two years as the foundations are moving which is causing severe cracking of the walls and there is no alternative but to demolish the building.
