Welcome to my website

Hello, and thanks for taking the time to view my website. The site is a new pilot scheme run by  Middlesbrough Council in association with the Local Government Association. I look forward to receiving your comments on the initiative, and please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any comments about the site, the ward, or Middlesbrough.

Our ward is served by myself and Tom Mawston, working closely with Marton Community Council and residents, to ensure that our needs and aspirations are fully represented within the Town Hall.

I have lived in Marton for 38 years, bringing up two daughters here, who both attended the local schools. I became a ward councillor in 1999, and am currently a member of the Children  Family and Learning Scrutiny Panel, the Social Services and Adult Care Scrutiny Panel the Community Safety and Leisure Scrutiny Panel the Enviroment Scrutiny Panel the Standards Committee and the Staying Put Agency Committee.  In addition, I am Chair of Marton Community Council and Treasurer of the Beechwood Youth and Community Centre. I am also a member of the Community Centre Management Committee, the Stewart Park Consultative Group, and a member of Cleveland Show Committee. As you can see, my main interests lie in the issues of Social Services and Youth, and I run a Juniour Youth Club at the Marton Community Centre, the fulfilment of one of my election promises.

I also devote a lot of my time to the elderly, visiting Oakwood Court regularly, and attending meetings of Marton and Nunthorpe Fellowship group.

If you would like to know more about any of these roles, you can contact me by clicking here.
