I was very pleased to be re-elected as a Nunthorpe Ward Councillor ,as an Independent this time .

I would be pleased to hear any way which you think I can improve the information you need and will be pleased to respond to any issues and concerns you might have.

Please also contact me if you would like me to promote events or give information about any Community Group you are involved with.

As one of your local Ward Councillors for Nunthorpe together with Councillor Peter Sanderson I am very much involved in the issues, concerns and aspirations of you all. I work closely with many people in an effort to improve the Nunthorpe area.i.e Nunthorpe  Parish Council, Community Council and Neighbourhood Watch .

Nunthorpe Parish Council meets on the first Wednesday of every month except August at 7.15pm at Nunthorpe Institute (in The Avenue Primary School). and Nunthorpe Community Council meets usually on the fsecond  Tuesday night of the month at the same venue at 7.00pm. the next Community Council meeting is Tuesday 12 May 2009 at 7pm .These meetings are open to members of the public.

In supporting my work on the Nunthorpe Ward I am on a number of committees and Groups i.e. I am a Trustee on Nunthorpe Institute, A  governors on The Avenue Primary School, on the Executive of Nunthorpe Community Council and on Nunthorpe Residents Steering Group.

The Nunthorpe in Bloom Group is a very busy group with some very enthusiastic  members.

Please see New Item for fabulous  2008 Northumbria in Bloom results

As well as being one of your your Ward Councillor I am also the Executive Member for Public Health and Sport . This was a new portfolio  in May  2008 which shows the Mayor of Middlesbrough Ray Mallon 's  comitment  to improving Public Health and how Sport can enrich everyone's lives
