On Friday 2nd March 2007, I resigned from the Labour Party, and am now currently standing as an Independent Councillor. 

I have lived in the Beckfield Ward all my life, I am married and have a son who is 11 years of age and is football mad.

Having previously worked for Middlesbrough Council for 18 years, I am well aware of how the system works, and this insight has given me the ability to tackle the every day problems that the people from within my ward bring to me. I know the standards possible, and I know if the residents from Beckfield are being short changed!

Local knowledge is a vital ingredient for any Councillor to do the job to the best of their ability.
