Hello my name is James Tinsley and i am a Councillor representing Lisburn City Council.
I was elected in 1999 for the Killultagh Ward which takes in villages such as, Moira, Glenavy, Dundrod, Stoneyford, Ballinderry, Aghalee, Maghaberry etc.
I am married to my wife Margaret and have two children-James age 5, and Anna age 2.
Whilst a Councillor on Lisburn City Council i have had the opportunity to serve on all committees as well as outside bodies. I have been Chairman of the Environmental Health Committee and the Planning Committee. Aswell as this i have been deputy Mayor, and just finished being the City's youngest ever first citizen for 07/08, which was a fantastic opportunity.
My full-time job is working as a Personal Assistant for Alderman Edwin Poots MLA for Lagan Valley, where i am based in the Old Town Hall in Lisburn.
Lisburn is the second largest Council area in Northern Ireland, with a population of approx. 112, 000.
