My name is Lynda Mary Hallett.
I am resident of Peacehaven Town having resided there for six years. I was voted Town Councillor in May 2002 and at the same time was voted a member of Lewis District Council.
Peacehaven was developed prior to the first world war as a garden city by the sea. The plans fell by the wayside during the war and after the war attracted ex servicemen and retired colonial personnel to settle in the area.
As the population has increased over the years a strong community spirit has developed fostering an extraordinary number of organisations.
I have a strong interest in charity work including the Newhaven Life Boat, Animal Welfare and care of the community. My main focus is caring for the community and using my people skills.
