Welcome

Hello and welcome to my website. My name is James MacCleary and I represent Lewes Bridge ward which is mainly composed of the Malling and Cliffe areas of the town along with other areas of the town centre.

 

Having been elected for the first time in May 2007 I have been working on getting the best deal possible for local residents in my ward and across Lewes District.

Councillors demand bus-pass funding from government
Local Lib Dem councillors are demanding that the government funds concessionary bus travel for elderly and vulnerable citizens.  

District Council says Lewes should be in National Park
Lewes District Council is backing calls for Lewes to be included in the proposed South Downs National Park. The District Council is supporting the South Downs Committee in its efforts to reverse the decision to have Lewes deleted from Park.
