Welcome from County Councillor Val Wilson

River Wyre at Catterall

River Wyre at Catterall

I have been re-elected as a County Councillor for the Electoral Division of Garstang and once again I will endeavour to serve the interests of all residents, regardless of political persuasion. This division covers not only the town of Garstang but also the surrounding rural areas.

I am, however, a member of a political party and take an active interest in a number of national and local campaigns. It would not be appropriate for me to use this website to promote these campaigns though you can visit related external websites by selecting some of the links to be found on this site.

Many residents already write or telephone me regarding local and national issues ; but I now hope that this web site will give even more constituents, additional access to me.

These are the committees and sub committees I sit on:

  • Supporting the work of the Cabinet Member for Adult and Community Services (Lead Member - Health)
  • County Council
  • Cabinet Working Group on Voluntary Community Faith Sector
  • Cabinet - Fairness for All Working Group
  • Corporate Parenting Board
