2/7/2008 -  Full Council 
The Full Council will meet on the 10th July 2008.

VISITORS to Lytham’s Love Parks event took the opportunity to quiz their councillors at Lancashire County Council’s mobile unit.

MEMBERS of the public will have a chance to meet their county councillors face-to-face during a forthcoming visit to Lytham.

21/5/2008 -  Full Council 
The Full Council will meet on the 29th May 2008.

YOUTH engagement, libraries and bus service provision are due to be discussed at this month’s meeting of Lancashire Local Fylde.

I am a member of the Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Committee which will meet on Tuesday 20th May 2008.

18/4/2008 -  Pension Fund Committee 
A meeting of the Pension Fund Committee will be held on the 25th April 2008.

Budding authors have boosted their school library in Lytham St Annes.

The next scheduled meeting of the Lancashire Local Fylde will be held at the Ribble Room at the Lytham Assembly Rooms, Dicconson Terrace, Lytham on Tuesday 25th March 2008 at 7.00 pm.

I am a member of the Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Committee which will meet on Wednesday 27th February 2008.

MORE children in Wyre & Fylde are doing at least two hours of PE and school sport each week according to a new report.

The future of Lytham County Information Centre will be discussed this month at a meeting of Lancashire Local Fylde.

I am a member of the Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Committee which will meet on Tuesday 15th January 2008.

Fylde Borough Council has worked very hard to secure Lottery funding for Ashton Gardens in St Annes. Particular thanks must be given to Darren Bell who works in the Streetscene department who spearheaded the project.

28/12/2007 -  Saving Energy Campaign 
Saving energy is something that I am keen to promote. Recently on a trip to London I photographed this poster on the side of a tube station platform. This sort of advertising is something that I want to see in Lytham, Fylde and Lancashire. I will be working towards allocating resources to enable this.

As I work in the horticultural industry and run my own business there are opportunities to help schools to educate children outside the classroom. During the summer children from Lytham Hall Park school visited Ashtons Nursery Gardens to see the working nursery and to ask questions and do project work.

28/12/2007 -  Friends of Green Drive Lytham 
Green Drive in Lytham is one of the areas of my division that I am most proud. I helped to form the ‘Friends of Green Drive’ who’s aim it is to ensure that the woodland is still available for generations to come. Our ancestors who planted Green Drive did it for our benefit and we must not forget this.

One of my roles on the County Council is to visit sites where planning applications have been submitted. These sites can sometimes be hazardous so wearing a hard hat and a high visibility vest is essential.

28/12/2007 -  Wheelie Bin Complaints 
As a local Councillor I have received complaints about wheelie bins not being put back where they should be. Here is a reply that was given to a resident recently to explain the process.

Mythop Road has been a road that has caused major concern for residents and users alike. Conservative Councillors Tim Ashton and Brenda Ackers have been highlighting the need for some type of speed calming measures to be introduced

Lytham Hospital is to be transformed into a modern facility on a primary bus route on a site with adequate parking

A decision to closer the Lytham County Information Centre was made recently by Chris Cheetham Cabinet member for Adult and Community Services on Lancashire County Council. - HAVE YOUR SAY

Exciting plans are proposed for the Stepping stones Coffee bar and bookshop which is situated next door to Lythm Library.

25/11/2006 -  Lytham Hospital 
Many of you have voiced concerns over the future of Lytham Hospital. Wards have closed and the local Primary Care Trust has lodged plans for a health centre adjacent to Stanways in Lytham.

I along with other Lytham and Ansdell Councillors held the initial meeting of the Lytham Community Forum chaired by Councillor Ray Norsworthy

18/11/2006 -  A585 consultation 
RESIDENTS of The Fylde are being asked for their views on exciting plans for a new route for the A585.

At a recent PACT meeting some residents from Mornington Road Lytham expressed an interest in forming a committee similar to the Park View 4 U group.

2/8/2006 -  Praise for bus link 
COUNCILLORS from the Fylde have praised work to provide a new bus link for communities in the area that had been left without public transport.

A HUGE step forward for local democracy is to be launched this month - a step that could see truly local “power-sharing” in Fylde borough.

12/2/2006 -  Meeting at Liggard Court 
PC Les Jackson and I attended a meeting with residents at Liggard Court Mythop Road Lytham

I have come under pressure from Councillors and residents about speeding along South Park & Forest Drive in Lytham

January will see the exciting launch of the vision for Park View Road playing fields.The committee have worked very hard to convert these playing fields from the least used in the borough to the most used!

The controversial plans for Lytham Quays have been withdrawn by Kensington Developments. I have my views on what should happen in the Dock Road area. Please let me have yours!

Many issues were raised at the latest PACT (Police and Communities Together) meeting. One item was bike riders not having lights during the hours of darkness. This inclued Newspaper boys and girls!

10/12/2005 -  Car Parking in Lytham 
Traders have approached me about the short stay car park adjacent to Pleasant Street in Lytham. They are concerned that shoppers are not able to stay long enough to visit the optimum amount of shops.

I have written to Andrew Burrows of the Highways Department and he has replied positively

I have received complaints about wet leaves on pavements.
