This ward is parished unlike the urban core of the original Chorley Borough . They play a significant role as a channel through whom local views on Planning applications and on Road Safety and concerns about the Environment are processed through both to me and directly to the decision making body , whether it be the Borough or the County and on matters which particularily affect the rural areas, such as changes in the delivery of Health, both in the community and in hospital.
