Welcome to my website

In 1989 I gave up my job when I was elected as a County Councillor for the Electoral Division of Skerton in order to better serve the interests of all residents, regardless of political persuasion.   Despite the long hours, I have found the work challenging and very satisfying.   At present, I am the Chair of Lancashire County Developments Ltd., which is your economic development company whose aim is to help everyone who has a bright idea, to start up their own business in the place where all the good ideas come from ... Lancashire!   By helping you, we can employ more people in the County which, in turn, helps everyone.

I am also a member of the Police Authority with responsibility for vulnerable people, as well as being the Chair of the Youth & Community Advisory Committee and the Chair of the Adult College.   I am a member of many other organisations such as Sure Start, the Local Strategic Partnership and the Domestic Violence Forum, so, if you find it hard to get hold of me, just leave a message and I will get back to you.

I am, however, a member of a political party and take an active interest in a number of national and local campaigns. It would not be appropriate for me to use this website to promote these campaigns though you can visit related external websites by selecting some of the links to be found on this site.

WEATHER. Will you need a sun hat or umbrella? Before you go out why not check the weather with the 5 day local forecast.
