14/7/2006 -  New reduced speed limits 
Speed limits on the stretch of the A49 which runs through Clayton le Woods and S.Ribble,from Nell Lane at Cuerden to Shaw Bridge at the Euxton boundary are to be reduced from 60mph to 50mph to improve safety.

As part of a regeneration drive in the area of Clayton Brook, Chorley District Council have provided a Christmas Tree which has been placed next to the Community Centre Building, near to the shops and the entrance to Clayton Brook School.Children from the school helped to decorate the tree ready for the Christmas lights to be added.

Lancashire Police nominated P.C.Travers Lawrence for this Award.
