Welcome to my website

Hello. I was elected as a County Councillor in 1993 for the Electoral Division of Chorley Rural North (which covers Clayton North, Clayton West, Brindle and Hoghton) to serve the interests of all residents, regardless of political persuasion.

I am a member of the Conservative Party and take an active interest in a number of national and local campaigns. It would not be appropriate for me to use this website to promote these campaigns although you can visit related external websites by selecting some of the links to be found on this site.

The next Police Authority Community meeting for Chorley is due to be held on 2nd  October at Brindle Community Hall, Water Street,Brindle commencing at 7.00pm. It is a public meeting where Policing Priorities 2007/08 will be discussed. It is an opportunity for people to have their say on how the Chorley area should be policed.

The Clayton North Forum will be held at St.Bede's Primary School on Thursday October 12th at 7.00pm. This is a 'pilot' scheme,by Chorley District Council being tested in three areas of Chorley.Councillors from Clayton North,the Chairman of Clayton Parish Council,myself as a County Councillor and officers from Chorley will be there to answer questions from members of the public.Those who wish can write their questions on postcards provided at the meeting.

LANCASHIRE LOCAL-CHORLEY.This is a new committee established in July 2006 aimed at strengthening local democractic decision-making.It empowers locally elected Councillors,both Borough and County to take decisions on,monitor and influence County Council services in the borough.The next meeting will be on Tuesday 24th October in St.George's Hall, Chorley at 6.15pm  The Committee meetings are open to the public,who have an opportunity to have their say in the public part of the meeting.
