Hello I am Ken Brown, and I am the elected County Councillor for Heysham. I would like to thank you all for your support during the June elections 2009.

My duties with the County Council are Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny and the Audit Committee. I am also the chairman of Lancashire Locals. This is a business committee run by the County Council with invited public participation on many local issues.

As a District Councillor for Heysham South the committees I am involved with are Planning and Highways and Licensing Regulatory Committee.

I am also a member of the Combined Fire Authority. My committees on there are: Audit Committee and Productivity.

I am fully committed to serving the community and regard myself as an elected community leader dealing with all local issues.

Also I am pleased to be a school governor for both Trumacar Community School and also for Heysham High School. Trumacar School is the feeder school for Heysham High.
