HASLINGDEN Library on Deardengate has been officially reopened today (Saturday 18 April) following a major £325,000 refurbishment.

AN information and advice service provided by Age Concern Lancashire in East Lancashire has been saved from closure thanks to a £50,000 cash boost from Lancashire County Council to secure its short-term future.

SERVICES have improved thanks to an agreement to achieve closer working between Rossendale Borough Council and Lancashire County Council.

OVER a hundred adults with a learning disability across East Lancashire are to benefit from a new commissioned service to help them remain independent in their own supported accommodation.
