Hello.

I was elected in May 2001and re elected in May 2005 as a Lancashire County Councillor for the Electoral Division of Burnley Central East to serve the interests of all residents in Daneshouse House, Bank Hall, Fullage, and Brunshaw Wards regardless of political persuasion. I am, however, a member of the Labour party and take an active interest in a number of national and local campaigns. It would not be appropriate for me to use this website to promote these campaigns though you can visit related external websites by selecting some of the links found on this site.

My duties on Lancashire County Council are Chair Development Control Committee, Chair of Stoneyholme and Daneshouse Community Centre and Labour group Chief Whip and Lancashire Locals in Burnley.

There are 6 County Councillors for Burnley, and we deal with Education, Social Services, Lancashire Locals, Highways and Transportation, Strategic Planning and Waste Management matters. Our members also sit on the Lancashire Police Authority and on Lancashire Fire & Rescue Authority, and we play our part in many, many partnerships throughout and beyond Lancashire.
