Welcome to my website

Hello and welcome to my website, which I hope you find informative and interesting.

I was first elected in May 1989 as a Lancashire County Councillor for the Electoral Division of Central Accrington (comprising the Wards of Central and Springhill) to serve the interests of all residents, regardless of political persuasion. I have been continually elected since 1989 and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who voted for me in the May 2005 election.  My Division changed considerably from 1989 due to the Periodic Electoral Review carried out by the Boundary Commission which resulted in changes to the size of my area.  I still represent Central and Springhill Wards plus the Church Kirk area, all of the streets off Blackburn Road together with a small part of Oswaldtwistle (Broadfield) and the estate which runs off each side of the High Street.

I am a member of a political party and take an active interest in a number of national and local campaigns.  It would not be appropriate for me to use this website to promote these campaigns, though you can visit related external websites by selecting some of the links to be found on this site.
