I am the Conservative Party spokesman on the Development Control Committee. The Committee is made up of 15 members and deals with applications for planning permission in connection with waste management (for landfill sites or waste recycling centres) mineral extraction (quarries) and also for developments proposed by the County Council itself, such as alterations to school premises.
