SERVICES for adults with learning disabilities in Chorley & South Ribble are set for further development thanks to the creation of a joint new team of health professionals from Chorley & South Ribble Primary Care Trust, Lancashire Care NHS Trust and Lancashire County Council Adult Social Services.

CARERS in Lancashire will be able to access a range of useful information and advice about local support to assist in their caring role via a new dedicated web site launched today as part of national Carers Week 2006 (12-18 June).

Young people in Skelmersdale are benefiting from Lancashire’s Grants For Growth scheme which has enabled the Crisis Centre in the town to employ a worker to help co-ordinate training.

A thriving faith group based at St John’s Church in Burscough is helping people find ways of helping others through volunteering.

A special competition for Lancashire primary school pupils to design a logo for this years Lancashire Maths Week has been won by Harriet Bowyer.
