Resurfacing work is being carried out next month at Lancashire County Council's Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) at Henthorn Road, Clitheroe.
As a result, the HWRC will be temporarily closed for safety reasons from Monday, 8th March 2010, for about three weeks.
The nearest site during the period of closure is the Langho HWRC on Longsight Road, Langho, close to the Petre Arms pub. This site is open seven days a week from 8am to 7pm.
For the past 12 years I have been involved in local politics. I was first elected to Ribble Valley Borough Council in 1997, then in 1999 I was elected to Clitheroe Town Council in 1999.
Most recently, in June 2009 I was elected as a County Councillor for the electoral Division of Clitheroe
Since my election I have been appointed to various committees of the county council which you can see listed here.
When elected, like all my fellow county councilllors, it was to serve the interests of all residents of Clitheroe, regardless of political persuasion. I am, however, a member of the Liberal Democrats and take an active interest in a number of national and local campaigns. It would not be appropriate for me to use this website to promote these campaigns though you can visit related external websites by selecting some of the links to be found on this site.
