Welcome to my website

I have been County Councillor for the western half of Leyland since 1997. This covers the wards of Lowerhouses, Seven Stars, Moss Side, Earnshaw Bridge and Golden Hill. Within these areas are the industrial estate of Moss Side and the large residential areas of Wade Hall and Broadfield. I serve all those residents regardless of political persuasion. I am, however a member of the Labour Party and take an active interest in a number of national and local campaigns. It would not be appropriate for me to use this website to promote these campaigns although you can visit external related sites by selecting some links on this site.

I am active locally, supporting local schools and I have been a Governor of Wellfield High School for 30 years. I am a member of the Community organizations within the area, Moss Side Community Forum, Broadfield 2000 and Wade Hall Action Group.

Within the County Council I have special responsibility for Resources and Performance.I will be the first woman ever to deliver the important buget speech for Lancashire County Council. There have been women leaders but not until last year has there been a member  responsible for finance who was a woman.
