Copies of the agenda and minutes for meetings of the Lancashire Local Ribble Valley can be accessed on the County Councils Democratic Information System
Public participation - Whilst the Local is not primarily about community engagement there is a 30 minute period at the start of each meeting during which members of the public can ask questions and comment on items appearing on the agenda for that meeting. The Local has also established a Protocol so that it can work with the many Parish and Town Councils in the Borough.
Grants - Each of the four County Councillors on the Lancashire Local receives a small budget (£1,250) which is intended to provide grant aid to local groups, subject to approval by the Lancashire Local. The Local will also consider applications for Local Gateway Grants which offer an opportunity for Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector organisations to apply for funding in order to help deliver local and Lancashire County Council priorities.
