I have been a member of Roundway Parish Council since 1998. In May 2003, I was first elected to serve the Roundway Ward at Kennet and on the 3rd of May 2007 I was greatly honoured to be returned to serve a further term.
In 1993 I completed an Open University BSc degree and this left me with a burning interest in both politics and the environment – I realise that we can all make a difference; especially a difference toward the sort of planet we leave for future generations. Career wise I am a former Royal Air Force Policeman and now follow a second career in Information Technology.
I'm married to Carol and we live in Downlands Road which is in the Roundway Parish.
Outside of political activity I'm a Community Governor at Devizes School; after serving for 12 years as Honorary Secretary for the County Athletic Association I’m now a Life Vice President and serve as webmaster to the Association; Treasurer to Team Devizes – Moonrakers Athletics Club Treasurer of Wansdyke School's PTA. I am involved in the Eco-Schools initiative at both Devizes and Wansdyke Schools.
I’m here to serve the residents of the Roundway Ward and am always delighted to hear from you – please get in touch if you have concerns you want me to take up.
BMX / Skateboard - possible location?
Geoff has asked that the currently scrub bit of land at the end of Green Lane Playing Fields be considered as a possible venue for BMX / Skateboarding activities.
Air Quality
Do you suffer from breathing difficulties and or itchy eyes? If so please let your GP know and ask that they report it to the PCT.
Some people share concerns that such symptoms might be aggravated by potential pollution in the plume from the Westbury Cement Works.
