The planning application to build new homes on land adjacent to and to the rear of The Crown public house on the Wilcot Road was initially rejected by Kennet District Council on noise grounds. A public enquiry was set for February 15th 2005, but the applicant has now withdrawn the application. As such there is currently no outstanding application for this site.
