Welcome to my website

I've been a borough councillor in Hastings representing the people of St Leonards since 1995.

Along with my fellow ward councillor Trevor Webb, we make up a high profile local council team in the Central St Leonards area. This includes the promenade (from The Pier up to Caves Road), the Burton's St Leonard area, Marine Court, Warrior Square and Kings Road, the Church Road and Magdalen Road area and the triangle - Stockleigh Road, Carisbrooke Road, and Kenilworth Roads.

I was born and brought up in Hastings, and I've been the leader of Hastings Borough Council from 2000 to 2006. I now lead the Opposition Labour Group. Since first being elected I have been particularly focussed on the regeneration of the borough in general, and St Leonards in particular.

The great apostrophe debate! One trivial question I'd like your feedback on is the question of how we should name Burton's St Leonards. Or Burtons St Leonards. Is the apostrophe necessary? Let's not get started on the St Leonards / St Leonard's argument!
