Councillor Jeremy Birch has been a borough councillor since 1995. Along with his fellow ward councillor  Trevor Webb they make up a high profile local council team in the Central St Leonards area. Jeremy Birch was born and brought up in Hastings. He was leader of Hastings Borough Council from 2000 to 2006 and now leads the Opposition Labour Group.
