Christened Michael John Carr, I am known in the town as Jackie Carr. I am the local Liberal Democrat Councillor for Christchurch Ward.
I am ex Royal Navy and I have lived in Gosport for 40 years. Most of which time has been in the Christchurch Ward. I have been a Publican in the town since 1975 at the Victory, the Railway and the Queens Hotel and for the last 18 years I have owned the Spring Garden Guest House (the big pink house house in Spring Garden Lane next to the old station).
I joined the Lib Dem party and stood for Councillor in 2002, hoping to give something back to the town I had come to adopt as my home.

Lib Dem Councillors believe in a cleaner, greener Gosport and if you have any rubbish to dispose of, please do not leave in alleyways or on a neighbours doorstep, please get in touch with me and I will be happy to organise a skip for you and your neighbours.
I am here to act as a liaison between Council officers and yourself if there is a conflict, I may not be able to produce all the answers but rest assured I will assist you in the best way I can.
