A service was held in the town’s Falklands Gardens, followed by a march through the High Street by Falklands veterans. The veterans were supported by platoons from Gosport’s various military establishments.
The leader of Gosport’s council, Cllr Mark Hook, said:" This was an important event which means so much to Gosport residents and Falkland veterans worldwide. Many of those who served in the Falklands War lived here. Gosport has a long and proud association with the services which is why it was important for us to provide somewhere for the families and colleagues to remember those who sadly didn’t return.
‘That is why we hold these important ceremonies which allow families and friends to remember those lost.’
