Welcome to my website, my name is June Cully and I am the Labour Member for Town Ward on Gosport Borough Council. It has been a privilege to work with many local residents since 1996 in a joint aim to improve the area. I currently represent you on the following main committees Housing Board, Licensing Board, Community Safety Partnership, as well as sub boards and the Local Management Committee for Kelsey Housing Association, and a Governor on Newtown Primary School. May I thank all of you for a wonderful year as Mayor 2006 to May 2007 for the support that you gave which enabled me to raise £16,000 for my chosen charities The Gosport and Fareham Multiple sclerosis Society and Gosport Carers Support Fund. I have met many people giving their time to excellent projects providing interest for young and old alike. If you have any matters that you would like help or advice on please use contact me.
Alver Bridge Workhouse lake
Following a local resident and Gosport Waterways Volunteer reporting that pollution from a sewer pipe was occuring in the lake we have had the pipe viewed by MTS cleansing contracted by Southern Water. There is a crack in the pipe which will be lined to reseal it. In order to minimise the risk to sealife and the public the sluice gate has been left open to ensure regular flushing by the tide.
By election Result
I am delighted that Diane Searle has been elected on Thursday 2nd August to serve the people of Town Ward.
